Absurdly Easy Fudge

So while looking through my cabinet this morning, I found peanut butter and condensed milk. I wanted to make fudge but I didn't know if we had all the ingredients to make FULL ON fudge. But I did find a recipe to make 'Absurdly Easy Fudge' from CookingForEngineers.com :](click blog title for link to website)

All it takes is this:
16 oz. (450 g) peanut butter chips
4 Tbs. (57 g) butter
14 oz. (396 g) can sweetened condensed milk

My ingredients were like this:
6 tablespoons of peanut butter
4 tablespoons of butter
1 can of condensed milk
3 tablespoons of caramel

Instead of chips, I'm going to be using actual peanut butter and melting it with the butter down in my microwave. It just seems easiest.

Method:

I combine the peanut butter, caramel and butter into a microwave safe bowl and melt in intervals of 15 seconds until its melty and glistens.
Stir to combine, it took 30 seconds of my mixture to look like this::

I add the condensed milk like the recipe says, and stir until it's all combined.
[It looks super pretty~ And tastes great too~!]

Setting it in a tray or mold, I let my fudge sit and chill on the counter a little bit before placing it in the fridge for two hours or so. This goes for only if you're double-boiling your ingredients, with microwave, as soon as you stir it, it's cool enough to place in the mold.

Remove from fridge and cut into squares.

Enjoy! Images of my finished fudge shall be posted soon!!

Scottish Games: It's thick with vinegar and fried food O:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

so the above it what was left of MASSIVE CURLY FRIES. Like, the brick was as big as the fryer they were in!! :o And while at the Scottish Games and enjoying these fries, the air was pungent with the smell of malt vinegar and frying oil. It was delectable. The fair grounds also housed stands for meat pies, corned beef and cabbage, beers, whiskey, and all sorts of other savory dishes.

It also housed many american sweets like ice cream and frozen lemonade, and the like.

I say my trip to the Games was a tasty, and eventful one.

Til next time~
Enjoy~
